# Upload your profile photo

> Add a professional photo to your listing and crop it to fit.

Listings with a photo get significantly more clicks than those without one. A clear, professional photo builds trust before a visitor has read a single word of your bio.

## Uploading a photo

Go to **My Profile → Photo** (or look for the photo section within the profile editor). Click **Upload photo** and select an image from your device.

**Supported formats:** JPG, PNG, WebP
**Recommended minimum size:** 400 × 400 px
**Maximum file size:** 5 MB

## Cropping

After uploading, a cropping tool appears. Drag and resize the crop frame to frame your photo the way you want. The final image is saved as a square.

Click **Save** to confirm the crop.

  Crop tightly around your face and upper shoulders — avoid wide shots where your face is small. Visitors often see your photo as a small thumbnail in search results first.

## Photo tips for professionals

* **Use a photo where your face is clearly visible** — not a logo, landscape, or group photo
* **Good lighting makes a huge difference** — natural light from a window beats any artificial setup
* **Plain or blurred backgrounds work best** — a busy background distracts from your face
* **Smile, or at least look approachable** — for most professions, warmth converts better than formal stiffness
* **Dress the way you would for a client meeting** — the photo sets the first impression

## Updating your photo

You can upload a new photo at any time. The old photo is replaced immediately.

  If your catalog uses a horizontal image (banner/cover) rather than a square avatar, the aspect ratio and crop instructions may differ. The upload tool adapts automatically based on your catalog's configuration.
