Invitations let you bring listing owners into your catalog in a controlled way. Instead of leaving registration fully open, you send a personal link to a specific email address. The recipient clicks it, sets a password, and their profile is ready.

When to use invitations vs. open registration

SituationRecommended approach
You know who should be in the catalogInvitations — controlled, professional
Anyone can register themselvesOpen registration (toggle in Settings)
You pre-created a listing and want to hand it offSend credentials when creating the listing (see Add a listing)

Sending an invitation

Go to Dashboard → Invitations and click Send invitation. Enter the recipient’s email address and click Send. Supadir will:
  1. Generate a unique invitation token (valid for 14 days)
  2. Send an email to that address with a registration link
The invitation table shows each invitation’s status:
StatusMeaning
PendingSent, not yet used
AcceptedThe person registered successfully
Expired14 days passed without registration

Resending and revoking

  • Resend — generates a fresh token (new 14-day window) and sends the email again. Useful if the original went to spam.
  • Revoke — cancels the invitation. The link in the original email will no longer work.
If an invitee says they didn’t get the email, ask them to check their spam folder first. If it’s not there, click Resend to issue a new link.

What the invitee sees

When the recipient clicks the link, they land on your catalog’s registration page with:
  • Their email pre-filled and locked (they can’t change it)
  • Fields for: name, password, and entity type (if you have multiple types)
After registering, they’re redirected to their listing owner panel where they can complete their profile.

Registration closed but invitations still work

If you’ve turned off public registration in Settings → General, the registration page shows a “closed” notice to the general public — but invitation links still work normally. This lets you curate your catalog while still onboarding people you personally approve.
Each invitation is tied to one email address. If someone wants to register with a different email, you’ll need to send a new invitation to that address.
